In fact, 58% of construction managers do not have a four-year, two-year, or associate degree. Eighty-one percent of first-line supervisors of construction trades and extraction workers do not have a college degree and of all the professions on the list, this category was the most common highest paying job, with 626,180 jobs.
For trade jobs, workers start out at entry level and work their way up to management through on-the-job training and apprenticeships, many eventually supervising teams they once served on.
All the professions on the list have an annual median salary above the national average of $39,810, proving that construction and building related jobs are not only essential, but can be lucrative as well.
